| Testimonials (will be) wanted!
One major objective related to maximizing the number of people who know about this online near-miss reporting system is simply to gain a formal endorsement from as many traffic safety-related groups as possible. This includes nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and for-profit groups such as insurance companies and auto-makers. Endorsements will also be sought from all state legislators who have sponsored traffic safety bills in the last year.
The plan goes something like this:
- I make the initial contact that requests a formal endorsement, while stating that I'll be making an open request of my participants to email them a testimonial.
- I then post their respective names and email addresses, on pages corresponding to either government agency, legislator, or nonprofit organization.
- You then compose an email that describes your experience as a participant, stating how you believe that it has an impact on you personally.
- As soon as step 2 above occurs, you'll find email addresses you can use to send out your testimonial!
Getting the backing of many of the recognized traffic safety groups will lift up this initiative as something that everyone agrees is an important tool for the reduction in the number of crashes that occur every day on our nation's roads.
It all however begins with your confirmation of the impact of participation!
Thanks very much, Jeff
