The making of a banner advertisement campaign

Imagine a web advertising campaign that grabs attention with a visual image that captures the danger and adrenaline-producing nature of a near miss, which is paired with the message of the slogan: "Spend 10 minutes that may save your life".

Now imagine having that image and message flashed in front of many thousands of unsuspecting people every day. What percent do you think with not be able to stop themselves from clicking on that banner?

I've read that the average banner has a click-through rate of only about 2 percent. I dare say that we can produce a banner that puts that to shame!

Yes, I'm starting from scratch!

An experienced advertising person (and graphic artist) is needed who wants to make an in-kind contribution to the success of this near-miss reporting system. It has been in-kind contributions that have made this web site possible. You may have noticed the links to these two businesses, which will forever exist at the bottom of every non-survey page on this site (as would you).

As the banner itself is becoming a reality, donations are needed to pay for banner placement on to-be-determined web site(s). Think of your contribution in terms of the number of new visitors you will make possible: each donated dollar will result in at least one new visiter who learns about the benefits of participation ($1 = ~40 times that the banner is seen on a given web site) .

Note that donations to this initiative are not yet tax deductible.

Thank you for your help in making a banner advertisement campaign a reality!

Sincerely, Jeff
